OnlineGigs.com
is some very powerful online software, with information on over 9,000 venues,
updated in real time, and more. If you're serious about touring, this resource
is tremendous. I have used it a few times, and the software is tremendously
powerful. The information is very up to date, as the musicians who use the
software are financially encouraged to do so. Adding a new venue with
accurate information, or updating information on a venue, gives you a $1 credit
off the $20 per month subscription. If you ask for it, they will generally
give you a free 30 day trial, so when you're getting ready to book your next
tour, I highly recommend using it. In addition to venue information, they
also have press information, and you can integrate your email into their
software to keep track of all your communication with a particular venue.
They supply you with a concert calendar that is automatically updated when you
confirm shows. That calendar can be easily embedded into your myspace page
or website so you don't have to update multiple show listings. They also
have automated press releases you can send, and integrate Sonicbids EPKs.
Thankfully, the days of sending out physical CDs to get shows are over. I
had to send 200 CDs to random venues in 2003 to book 9 shows.
OnlineGigs.com makes things even better by integrating everything you need to
book your shows.
